Kevin is now heading to SK for about three months. I got to hear his voice right before he boarded his plane to Seattle this morning.

It’s hard! He was not excited about leaving, which is definitely understand. I kept trying to tell him everything is gonna be okay. It got to the point I could hear how scared he was in his voice. I started crying of course.

This is my first military relationship. I knew it was hard on girlfriends, family, boyfriends, wives, husbands, but I never knew just how hard it was. Now that I am living the life of a silent rank…I get it.

Not sure anyone reads this but if you do, you have tips or suggestions. Wisdom you wish you would have had. I’m totally open to it. Three months may not be a long time to some of you with more experience but I’m five days in to his first deployment. Any words of wisdom I’d gladly be open too.

Confession #555: Everyone always say that you shouldn’t “give up your dreams for them”. But my dream is to spend the rest of my life with him. And in order for me to make that happen, I have to start planning my life around him, which I couldn’t be happier about.

Thank you, Paris.

Thank you Paris

Pictures taken only hours ago of family members at the World Trade Center Memorial fountains where the names of those who lost their lives are engraved along the edges. I think these are some of the most powerful photos I’ve seen.

God bless <3

Powerfully moving photo

Mixed emotions

Tomorrow is my first time to see my boyfriend in almost two months, and also I am putting him on a plane were I won’t get to see him for a year.

of courseee:))

It takes me a good two hours to get ready lol!

I’m a combat veteran, and still on active duty, not an item on a laundry list!

Amen to this!
Love this!!
The coolest thing ever! Have to share! Okay so these are pillows that you have one and you give the other to your significant other. These pillows light up on your end when your loved one is laying on them (as does his when you lay on yours.) Also, they come with rings you wear and your partner can actually hear your heart beat through the pillow! Said it doesn’t matter if they’re towns, states, or countries away they still work! AMAZING! These could change long distance relationships as they are! These should be given to all military spouses, fiancés, girlfriends, boyfriends!! They aren’t on the market yet but I want one so bad already! You can watch the video on YouTube! They’re called Pillow Talk Pillows.
